Wanted!
Couldn't find anyone else for a "Wanted Poster" for "Streets of Laredo". The song "Streets of Laredo was for Kenny Rogers but I never had the opportunity to present it to him. It is one of my most popular songs worldwide.
Please feel free to listen to the songs.
There is a two second ad before the song begins.
I used the photo to the left for the cover for "Laredo" at the bottom left of this page.

"Someone to Love" "Make Love to You"
Very short commercial before the song begins to play. This is "Someone to Love"by Sandy Contella and was first played on the radio for our wedding. The song was written by Don Costa and his daughter Nancy. To really appreciate this song you should turn up your volume so that you can hear the beautiful strings and orchestration. Sandy did a beautiful vocal and what a tribute to Don Costa. I had the chance to work on this album. Enjoy! "Reflections"Very Short Commercial-
This is the first version/arrangement of "Reflections" and one of the first songs I wrote about someone. I needed lyrics and I noticed that as I was speaking to my wife that I could see reflections of trees and other beautiful things in her eyes. We put the songs out in the Orlando, Florida market and it was a hit and finally was in most area stations in Central Florida. A different version was later recorded on an album. "This Dream is Mine" A short 2 second ad first. This is a song DISNEY should pick up. It's a perfect song for them. It was recorded on an album and has been used at talent events and Beauty Contests. There is a share button at the top right if you want to share this song on upload it to facebook. "Lines in his Face" |
Very Short commercial first. This is a demo version of a song I did not submit but Sandy did a quick vocal for me. If you listen to the words you'll recognize a typical day in the lives of a couple, The song has very little instruments but that is also a good way to listen for what could be once an arrangement is done. I think a lot of people can identify with this song. So listen to the story it tells. HattonSongs holds the copyrights and publishing rights "Seasons of My Life" Recorded by Sandy Contella in our studio. The final version arranged by Don Costa and produced by Paul Anka was recorded in various studios including London were the album was released by EMI Records.
These are my thoughts as I enter the Winter of my years. Sandy was the only one to capture the feeling of the song. We had recorded the song but it just wasn't right. In searching for the right vocalist I met Sandy and this is the result. "An October Day"Short 2 second Ad first. This is a Love song about two people who meet on "An October Day". This is just a simple recording of the song with a drum track and piano. It could be a theme song for a movie. You can feel the story of these two lovers as you listen to the words and music. "That's How Fresh Your Love Is" |
"Lines in his Face" is about an aging gunfighter. The chorus, or hook, is "And the lines in his face drew a map to the places he's been and if he could he'd do it all over again". In this song he's tired and old but can't escape who he is and younger gunfighters want to kill him. This represents all of us. We can change some but we never can be really different even as we try.

"That's how Fresh your Love Is" is a love ballad expressing just how much he is in love with her so he tries to put in in words but still can't capture all that he feels in one song.
